Do you relive your childhood through your kids and do you buy yhem things that you never had?

When i was younger, i used to love dancing around with a set of curling tongs in front of the mirror pretending to be a popstar. Today, I have been playing with my 6 year old and we got her karaoke machine out (which i asked someone to buy her for Christmas) and have had a fab time screeching down the mike and dancing around like loonies. I think it is really important for her not to be self concious and she has belted a few songs out. I realised that i was actually acting like a huge kid and it brought back the memories of before karaoke machines were on the market (that's why i used to improvise with the tongs.) Anyone else done similar and give me your examples. Look forward to reading them. Thanks.
