What are the best places to live in London?

I want to move there sooooo badly! It doesn't matter about the price! So I need to know what are some good places to live there? I like city-like ares and I like the sort of feel of Eastbourne where you have the houses set up like that and you can find people easily and I know it is more for like older people! So I also need a safe/nice place to live. I DO NOT want to live in the country side. But somewhere where there is good people, shopping, dinning, social life, and stuff!
