The flash on my LG enV touch doesn't work?

flash used to work just fine. Now even when flash is always ON all that happens is a little useless light comes on that doesn't illuminate anything. it used to be that the little light would come on then an instant later the actual "flash" part would happen and id get a good picture, NOW the flash doesn't work. any ideas?
